Tayta Carnaval

Corn is used in the party, because it is consumed in different forms: tender or dry, natural or processed as cooked corn, roasted, mote, in the form of flour when making the "Chiguiles" and wrap with the tender leaves of the same corn .

CARNIVAL IN AMBATO

The celebration of the Carnival of Ambato is different and special because the celebration is combined with the Feast of Flowers and Fruits, in the province of Tungurahua. This celebration is traditionally provoked by the affectation that the inhabitants had in the earthquake of August 5, 1949.

The denomination of flowers and fruits is given by the production of food and plants that corresponds to the beginning of each year. Usually this party is not played with water or sparkling; Despite the hullabaloo of the people, order is maintained while the celebration takes place on public roads.

Ambato Tierra de Flores is a pasacalle composed by Gustavo Egüez Vaca and music by Carlos Rubira Infante, the song is very heard in the city of Ambato Province of Tungurahua especially when they celebrate the Feast of Flowers and Fruits at carnivals.
